They support parents and caretakers looking for child care by providing professional assistance and information tailored to families’ specific needs including location, hours, and type of care environment.

Get Help Paying for Child Care

We all know child care is expensive, but did you know that CCRC can also help with the cost?

Many families don’t know that they qualify for help paying for child care.  Financial assistance is available for child care all hours of the day, including nights, weekends, or for just a few hours a week. Whether you are looking for employment, going to school, or working and in need of care, you can reach out to CCRC for help!

Before You Apply

How long does the application process take?

The application is quick and easy. Most people complete it in 3-5 minutes. All we need to know is the parent contact information, child’s age, and household income.

What are the income limits?

The limits vary based on family size.

What documents will I need?

Your paystub, child’s birth certificate, immunization records for child under age 6, and your provider preference.

What’s the age limit?

The program pays for child care for children up to age 13 or age 21 with disability.

Is child care free if I enroll?

It depends on your household income. There is currently no family fee through next year. But certain expensive care programs may require families to pay a portion of the cost.

Do I have to use consistent care to qualify?

No, you can utilize as much or as little care as you need.

Who is qualified as a child care provider?

CCRC can help pay for a: Licensed Family Child Care Home, Licensed Child Care Center, before/after school program, Family, Friend, or Neighbor child care provider. In home child care is now included in the Alternative Payments program.

Do my children have to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to qualify?

No.

Application Process

Do I need to include a pay stub or know my exact income when I apply?

An exact income is not needed for the initial application. Use your best estimation.

When will I hear back about my application?

It may take up to 90 days before a case manager contacts you and invites you to submit proof of income.

How long after I submit my paystub will I know if I qualify or not?

You will either be enrolled or denied in 30 days from submitting your paystub.

When and how do I choose my child’s provider?

You choose the provider within the 30 day enrollment window. CCRC can help you select the provider that’s right for you.

After You Apply

How long will I be on a waitlist?

Application processing can take up to 3 months. Keep an eye out for an income screening application via email or mail.

If I’m enrolled today, how long does my qualification apply?

Your approval is valid for one year at the child care rate you were approved for, regardless of changes to your employment.
