Making Learning Inclusive: Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

The concept of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) aims to provide all children, including those who have not been formally diagnosed, with an equal opportunity to succeed by making learning inclusive. In this training participants will:

  • Be introduced to inclusive practices
  • Explore why UDL works in early childhood programs
  • Learn how to create a flexible environment
  • Identify common modifications and supports focused on each child’s strengths, needs, and interests
  • Be familiarized with a UDL checklist to create more meaningful and transformative learning opportunities
