During this training, participants will explore the culturally diverse attributes of children and families. Together we will explore the concept of “Mirrors, Windows, and Glass Sliding Doors” to learn how to create an inclusive library that addresses the different aspects of children’s experiences, including culture, family structure, gender identity, and immigration/uprooting. By the end of the session, participants will understand why diverse stories matter and how they help promote family engagement and positive family-educator relationships.
