Building Blocks is a book with a specific set of practices meant to increase the engagement of children with disabilities and delays in an early childhood environment. It is a way of blending early childhood education and special education to enhance learning for all children.
In the virtual training, participants will:
- Understand the relationship between Building Blocks practices and current trends in early childhood education
- Become familiar with the Building Blocks text as a resource
- Learn about the Building Blocks model for integrating special education and early childhood education for the benefit all children
- Understand how to use and teach Curriculum Modifications, Embedded Learning Opportunities, and Child-Focused Instructional Strategies
