Frequently Asked Questions

Moving Forward Together gives early childhood educators for young children the opportunity to shape the future for children in San Bernardino County. Early childhood educators who register will receive short 5-10 minute surveys to share information on what it is like to be a provider for young children in San Bernardino County, and how to make San Bernardino County better for children, families, and early childhood educators.

Registered early childhood educators can choose to receive surveys by text message or email. At most, there will be one survey distributed every 4-6 weeks, and participants can choose which surveys they want to respond to. You can choose to opt-out at any time.

Moving Forward Together is funded by First 5 San Bernardino, in partnership with Cal State University San Bernardino, San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, Preschool Services Department, and Child Care Resource Center.

By registering to become a participant in Moving Forward Together and responding to surveys and other opportunities, you can:

• help improve early childhood educational experiences for children and families
• help inform how public agencies in San Bernardino County spend funds to provide better services for children and families
• help shape child care and preschool programs in San Bernardino County and supports for the people who work there

If you provide child care and early education services to children ages 0 to 8 in San Bernardino County, you are eligible to participate. Enrollment in Quality Start San Bernardino is not required. All early childhood educators are welcome!

In addition to the registration survey, there will be at most one survey distributed every 4 to 6 weeks. Participants can complete as many or as few as they like.

The initial registration survey is expected to take 3-7 minutes to complete. Following surveys will likely take 5-10 minutes to complete. There may be additional opportunities for discussion groups and input sessions. These opportunities are optional and may take between 15-60 minutes.
