SUMMARY:Creating Safe ECE Spaces Under AB 495: What Providers Need to Know
DESCRIPTION:Families across California are feeling the effects of shifting national immigration policies. For young children in immigrant families — particularly those from marginalized communities — uncertainty about immigration enforcement can create real barriers to accessing early care and education (ECE)\, threatening their safety\, development\, and well-being.\n\nCalifornia has taken action to protect these children. AB 495 is a California law that requires certain early care and education providers to adopt and enforce policies that protect the rights and safety of children in immigrant families.
